Like its big brother next door, it’s split into two areas, with the main room adjoining the bar area and an upstairs room – The Red Room – for the smaller bands. This room also provides access to the balcony in the main room, allowing you to watch a band from an elevated vantage point.
The bar area is a popular haunt for students, and is an ideal pre-gig meeting place and post-gig watering hole. It’s also worth mentioning the toilets in here. The wallpaper is a semi-porny tapestry of classy nudes (it used to be proper porny when it was kitted out with pages ripped straight from porn mags!). So you can idly look up and see risqué artistry and imagery whilst you relieve yourself. So to speak…
