So many styles and colours, not quite enough staying power. The Noissettes now do this kind of stuff so much better.

It’s doubtful there’s ever been a better party band than The Go! Team. This frenetic, 12-legged ball of energy generates more power than the National Grid and party like no other.
Exuberant leader Ninja is like Jamelia torn between hip-hop, pop, funk and Martian jazz (probably). Her energy is relentless – she fizzes with excitement and never stops jumping around like a drunken salmon at a Happy Mondays gig, displaying an infectious vim which makes it physically impossible for the observer to stay still.
Their delirious fusion of hip-pop beats, funk grooves, rock guitars and pop sensibilities compels even the most placid of onlookers to wiggle their derrieres.
They’re an all-you-can-eat buffet for the ears and the feet, and their poppy accessibility, combined with just enough complexity, has straddled genres and united baggy-jeaned, baseball-capped homees with tight-trousered androgynous Skins extras across the nation.
Even po-faced emo kids get their groove on to hip-hop clarion call Milk Crisis and Huddle Formation, which is essentially New Order skateboarding down Sesame Street. But it’s their anthem, Ladyflash, which arouses the most excitement due to the fact that it has more funk than a Bootsy Collins convention.
Crazy, spontaneous, electric and explosively brilliant – go see this team soon.
